You will need an MMSI radio license for your yacht’s radio equipment. Your boat must be listed in the MMSI register, after which you will receive a unique identification number. An AIS number and call sign are also required. We ensure that your license package is arranged within 24 hours!
It is required by law to have an MMSI license on board of your yacht at all times. We recommend boat owners to purchase this in combination with a boat registration. This way you are immediately ready to sail in terms of papers! The price of our MMSI license service is € 250. Dutch and UK radio license
We provide UK radio licenses and Dutch radio licenses. The Dutch radio license is only available when registering or owning a Dutch Worldwide Zeebrief registration or having a Dutch passport. The Dutch radio license will be delivered as a paper certificate.

What equipment is a MMSI license for?
A MMSI license allows you to use the radio equipment on board, the VHF, AIS and EPRIB may not be used without a license. Advantages of using a VHF (AIS) within a VHF radio there is a built-in AIS (automatic identification system), this makes it possible to look around the corner. An AIS has a lot similarities with the radar, only the connection is much better and has it ship no longer needs a rotating antenna.
- The VHF radio allows you to communicate with lock keepers or bridge keepers.
- At busy junctions, communication takes place via traffic posts, without a VHF radio no contact can be made.
- When you get into trouble with your boat, you can use the VHF contact is made with, for example, a coast guard center. Help can be quickly arranged
